WCS - New Zealand Nationals Recap

The WCS New Zealand Nationals took place on June 2, with the top eight StarCraft II players competing for the chance to represent their county at the Oceania finals on August 12.

After two weeks of online qualifiers, it was onto the live action at the Corporate box in Central Auckland.  The battles were fierce, with Thomas “xGKingJazBas” Cho providing a dominant display of zerg macro throughout the tournament. Runner up was the terran player Tilea “Rumpleteazer” Flavall, also known as KnighTLight. Both players will now represent New Zealand against the top six players from Australia at the Oceania Finals on August 12.

The Oceania Finals will be held in Sydney with over $15,000 in prizes and the opportunity to represent the Oceania region at the WCS finals.
